Contact Points Block

The LocalBusiness Contact Points block allows you to display structured contact information for a local business directly in the WordPress block editor. It pulls data from your configured contact points and presents them in a clear, user-friendly format while remaining aligned with local business schema requirements.

This block is ideal for Contact pages, Support pages, or any section where users need quick access to business communication details.

What the Block Displays

Each contact point can include the following details:

  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Contact type (e.g., Technical Support, Customer Service)
  • Contact option (if available)
  • Supported languages

You can selectively show or hide these fields using the block settings.

Block Settings

Contacts

These options let you control which parts of the contact point are visible on the page.

  • Contact Type
Displays the role or purpose of the contact (e.g., Technical Support).
  • Phone
Shows the phone number associated with the contact point.
  • Email
    Displays the email address.
  • Contact Option
Displays additional contact options if configured.
  • Language
Shows the languages supported by this contact point (e.g., English, Tagalog, Cebuano).

Each option can be toggled on or off independently.

Data Index

Data Index determines which contact point is displayed.

  • The index starts at 0
  • 0 = first contact point
  • 1 = second contact point
  • and so on

This allows you to reuse the block multiple times on the same page to display different contact points.

Enable Links for Phone and Email

When enabled:

  • Phone numbers become clickable (tel: links)
  • Email addresses become clickable (mailto: links)

This improves usability, especially on mobile devices.

Example Output

A typical contact point display may include:

  • Email address (clickable)
  • Phone number (clickable)
  • Contact type (e.g., Technical Support)
  • Supported languages

Icons are used to visually distinguish each type of information, making the layout easy to scan.

Common Use Cases

  • Contact Us pages
  • Customer support sections
  • Footer contact details
  • Location-specific business pages

Notes

  • The block only displays contact points that have been configured in your business settings.
  • If the selected data index does not exist, no contact information will be shown.
  • Styling can be further customized using block or theme styles.
